Life's Been Hectic

The month isn't over yet and I have been in 3 different states. This month has been about raising my professional profile as well as planting fruit-bearing seeds for the future!

Last month I was in Atlanta doing social media for the: BE Modern Man TourBE Modern Man is a program that honors and celebrates the essence of today's men of color. This month was the second leg of the 'BE Modern Man Tour' in NYC.

Below are some pictures from the Atlanta and New York City events. For the New York event, I decided to let my fro out. I also realized my wardrobe's default color pallet is black and white.

I always have a great time interviewing the panelist and attendees of events like these. The thing with interviewing people is that you have to have your shit together! You should not "wing it" no matter how good you think you are. The client is looking for cohesiveness and a certain look/feel. Plus you want to be prepared to ensure you're providing the audience with value and insights.

This month I also went to DC and moderated a panel at the Blogging While Brown conference. Just two days after that, as in this past Wednesday, I went to Chicago and hosted The Good Life; an event for local tastemakers and influencers presented by Lexus. The last picture is of me interviewing lawyer and blogger Blake Von D. at the Chicago event!

This week is proving to be just as busy and exciting as all the others this month. Tomorrow I'll be attending and performing at an actor's showcase. Later in the week I'll be meeting with a potential social media client, and doing my 1st ever keynote on leveraging social media to strengthen communities and make sales! Last week I spoke at a virtual summit on pitching to the media.

See what I mean about that profile being raised!

Honestly, step and repeats make me feel completely awkward.
