Path to Alignment | Upgrade Your Business Strategy

I've been in a retrospective mood. 2017 was one of the biggest years of manifestation I have ever had! There was a time last year, where I wrote down what I wanted to have, including owning a cannabis media company. Last year, I became the co-founder/owner of a cannabis media company.

2018 is about ALIGNMENT

2018 is another opportunity to renovate my life deciding on what I will allow and experience. I have been thinking about areas I want to grow in like Leadership, as well as skills I want to improve on like communication and writing. There will be new challenges and things that will need to be cut, as well as relationships that will need to be cultivated and nourished.

The New Year is definately one of my favorite times of the year because it's all about reinvention. New Year, New You - giving us a fresh start. Each month is a new chapter for you, the author of your life to curate as you wish. What I have come to realize over much reflection is that many people want to reinvent themselves and live fuller, joyful lives but they don't even know where to start.

Building self-confidence is the first step. Without it you have no courage and without courage people tend to stop trying and aspiring. Opting instead to live average, unfulfilled lives. I decided to put together some action steps for aligning this chapter in your life, the one focused on building yourself and your business, whatever that means for you.

The first step to DEVELOP CONFIDENCE is believing in yourself and your abilities. When I was "home for the holidays" I found myself searching through my mom's files for ANYTHING from my childhood. I ended up finding my college degree that has been MIA for a good while now. I also found some reports/projects that I had done during my final semester. Looking back on those A's and B's reminded me of a few things: the cool people I met in college and the organizations I joined. But more importantly I was reminded of how smart I was and still am. I busted my butt in those classes and my hard work paid off.

This is also why I keep a journal. If I scan old diaries of mine I am able to see a full spectrum of my life. The good, the bad and the ugly. I also see how I got through difficult times; over the years my confidence in myself has grown. I encourage everyone to keep a journal or a notepad near. Begin jotting down some of your accomplishments, any awards you've received, or praises from past teachers, employers or clients. When you feel down or things aren't working out in certain areas of your life, take your journal out, or read over the notes/cards people have given you over the years. It will encourage you and give your confidence a boost. Build your confidence every day, that can be by reading inspiring books, exercising or any other way you choose to practice self-care.

Without confidence you won't be able to take the next step...

CUT DEAD WEIGHT. Now I know how hard this can be for some people. It's not easy to let things or people go sometimes. Never mind the fact that you haven't worn your prom dress since your prom 20 years ago, or the fact that the job you're in really isn't taking you anywhere. Be that as it may, it's time to cut the cord on toxic people, places and things that do not serve you.

I have found that JUST on the other side of a breakup - be it romantic or professional there is a major breakthrough on the other side. If you can cut the cord to those things which weigh you down, you'll be aligned with your destiny much faster.

Toxic Relationships: How To Detach

Lastly, MAKE YOUR MOVE! You are the CEO of you and without great risk there are NO great rewards. Take one tangible step. Figure out the next thing you need to do to realize your dreams. It might be as simple as sending an email to a potential mentor, it might mean going to a networking event in your area in 18 degree weather. No matter what it is, GET UP OUT THE BOAT. It's time to walk on water - you've been called!

You have it in your power to make your days on Earth a path of flowers, instead of a path of thorns.

Toxic Relationships: Filling The Void

Last year I wrote a three - part series on toxic relationships: how to know your in one and how to detach from them (click links above). It's 2018, let go of people, places and things that don't bring your vibrations higher.
