Footwerk | Currently Craving Mules

Footwerk | Mules

The weather is finally heating up on the East Coast, nothing tooooo drastic but I'll take a high 50's over a low 30 degrees any day! With the warmer weather I have been slowly but surely switching out my heavier items (sweaters, velvet pants, down coats) for lighter things. One of my new faves are mules. I was pretty late jumping on the mule trend and I am not entirely sure why since I crave style and comfort and mules actually provide both.

When you walk in mules, you walk a bit differently. It’s very sexy to me; you have to get your balance… Madame de Pompadour in her mules, walking around Versailles, click click click… Can you think of anything more exquisite?

Over the Winter holiday my good friend David hipped me to an amazing shoe sale happening over at ZARA. I'm talking shoes for $9.99, $12.99 😲 there were even some for $7.99 and cute shoes. I ended up purchasing 5 pairs including the mules below for under $70! Truth be told, it's hard to go wrong at the ZARA. My mom has been purchasing me item from the brand prior to them coming to the US. As she traveled throughout Europe for work in the 90's she was bringing me back clothes and shoes from ZARA and H&M. I actually still own my very first pair of ZARA sandals and they are still in mint condition.

I am so excited that the weather has broken and I can finally wear my mules. In fact as I have been readying my mind/body for the Spring and Summer seasons I have been looking for more mule styles. Since there are so many styles, I thought I'd do a roundup with some of my favorites across the web. While I can't say how many more pairs I'll be adding to my shoe collection, I feel like the #3 is a safe place to start. I am eyeing the sneaker, suede, and metallic styles.

1. These loafer mules by Treasure and Bond are perfect for the beach and beyond. I'd pair these with a cute denim romper or white jeans and a racerback tank.

2. If you like mixing textures as much as I do then I suggest adding a suede shoe to your wardrobe. This mule by Sam Edelman can make any outfit instantly chicer thanks to the fabric and beautiful blush color. I'd rock these with a shirt-dress or with jeans, a white tee and loads of jewelry.

3. Looking for a more unique style then these mules by L'AMOUR DES PIEDS might be what you need. I see these going well with a cute linen or denim dress.

4. I imagine myself catching flights and not feelings in these white velvet mules by Rag and Bone. βœˆοΈ They just seem perfect for a travel day or a leisurely stroll to the coffee shop for a latte and strong wifi!

These are just a few of my favorites and the ones I am hoping to add to my collection before the summer is through. In the meantime check out the rest below including some beautiful mules from Tory Burch, Steve Madden, Soludos and others!
